Flares, Fireworks, Fervour: Valencia Fans Bring Their All To Seville
The day of the Copa final is here!
The square by the 16th-century Cathedral de Sevilla became a quaking shrine for hundreds, if not thousands, of Los Che diehards who had made the pilgrimage to the Andalusian capital.
All Valencianistas – some cribbed in a cot and many caught in capricious cavorting – are praying hard that the Bats will bring home Copa No.9 from the country’s south. They did so with the thunderous boom of pyrotechnics and the reverberating chants of a church choir on megaphones.
As the ashen Sevillan skies opened, here’s hoping that the faithful’s thirst for glory will be well quenched. Amunt Valencia!
